Liam Neeson “Unretires” From Action Films
Speaking at the premiere of “Mark Felt” at the Writers Guild Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, actor Liam Neeson was asked about the recent news that he was retiring from action movies.
Neeson laughingly dismissed the talk, saying: “It’s not true, look at me! You’re talking in the past tense. I’m going to be doing action movies until they bury me in the ground. I’m unretired.”
Neeson himself was the one who started the talk earlier this month while promoting “Mark Felt” at the Toronto Film Festival, saying that at his age of sixty-five, his continuing on as an action hero isn’t going to be believable and that: “audiences are eventually going to go: ‘come on’.”
Neeson has two action films due next year, “The Commuter” and “Hard Powder”.
