By-election in Belle-Rose/Quatre-Bornes: The Reform Party kicks off its campaign
Roshi Bhadain, leader of the Reform Party and ex-minister launched yester his party’s political campaign in view of the bye election in which he stands candidate.
Candidate Roshi Badhain took the floor in La Louise, Quatre-Bornes, and presented to his supporters the major points of his election manifesto.
Giving a brief overview of this manifesto, he talked about his willingness to reduce minister’s salaries and pensions, to tackle unemployment through, inter alia, the opening of unemployment centres, and to abolish the Certificate of Character.
This certificate is issued by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and states whether a person has previous convictions recorded against him/her.
