Foreign pilot expulsion temporarily prohibited by Supreme Court on Sunday
Four Air Mauritius planes were grounded Thursday evening when a large number of pilots reported sick.
The Supreme Court will hear arguments from both parties this morning after having prohibited yesterday the expulsion of Belgian pilot, Patrick Hofman, who was fired on Friday last.
Patrick Hofman and two other pilots were fired as they formed part of a group of eleven pilots who reported sick at the same time Thursday last, leading to the cancellation of four international flights.
According to authorities, Hoffman’s ten year visa became null and void when he lost his job in Mauritius.
