Minister Mahen Seeruttun is worried by the aging of small farmers
To attract the young generation to agriculture, minister Mahen Seeruttun has shortlisted a dozen young people who will participate in the Young Entrepreneur Scheme.
The minister for Agriculture says that he is quite worried about the aging of small farmers in Mauritius.
He is introducing an insurance scheme to protect farmers and vegetable growers from natural calamities such as cyclones and droughts.
The agricultural trade fair to be held this weekend aims at attracting young people to agriculture.
